With gas prices rising as the years go by, everyone is now looking for alternatives. With no energy alternatives to gas yet as car fuel, most people are now going for electric cars. The only issue with electric cars is that they are very expensive. Most electric cars can go to a price tag of hundreds of thousands of dollars while maintaining the car will cost you hundreds more. The technology for these brand new cars means you’ll need to find parts from a very specific market.
By next year, however, things may look better for electric cars and for people who are looking to invest in one. There are now cheap electric cars on the market. Well, they are not exactly as cheap as most gas-powered vehicles that are being sold on the market today but think about how much money you’ll be saving on gas once you brought an electric car. You can simply charge the thing and it’ll be ready to go within a few hours.
Without further ado, here are three of the cheapest electric cars on the market:
2018 Smart Fortwo Electric Drive – The Smart Fortwo EV is a subcompact car. Meaning it’s a small vehicle that’s good for two persons and you can park this small vehicle without problems. Valued at $ 24,000, the car needs three hours charging time at 240 volts.
2018 Ford Focus Electric – The 2018 Ford Focus also comes with an EV version. With an electric range of 115 miles, this compact car comes at 143 horsepower and is valued at $ 29,000 plus. The speed is not that much, but the EV can get you around in a city at the least.
2018 Hyundai Ioniq Electric – Introduced as last year’s Model of the Year and named as the 2018 Best Car for Teens, the Ioniq Electric has an electric range of 124 miles and has other cool features, such as a 7-inch touch screen information system, an HD radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The Ioniq Electric comes at a $ 29,500 price tag.
